La Corde, innovation center
Created in 2004, the luthier collective La Corde regroups roughly twenty lutherie guitar graduates and internationally renowned luthiers. Our workshop is divided into two sections, the instrument showroom and the various work spaces.

Play and compare
We have purposefully built a room to allow you to try a vast inventory of guitars and other stringed instruments offered at our workshop in a calm and comfortable environment. Many guitar and bass amplifiers are found in the showroom allowing you to play the electric instruments in optimal conditions.

Part of the most important lutherie centers in Montreal, the Collective is a space which favors innovation in techniques, materials and design. To be able to truly find the essence of wood, working with manual tools is best. This is the reasoning which compels many of our members to transmit their passion for tools such as planes, chisels, rasps and other traditional tools.
